Music Classes for Toddlers

No terrible two’s here! Our Level 2 classes encourage older toddlers to initiate their own ideas and explore their creativity. Each class offers plenty of fun outlets for toddler-style energy, promoting cognitive development through singing, dancing, and instrument play. Better still, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with other parents and caregivers who are also experiencing the joys and complexities of these busy years.

We use the power and joy of music-making to help children learn and grow during the years most critical to brain development.

Major activities: Exploring movement concepts and participating in musical interactions with objects and others, discovering different ways instruments can make sounds and experience a wide range of musical concepts, identifying and vocally imitating sounds and learning to describe them, learning to associate a picture with a sound, singing songs with language patterns that explore rhythm, speech sounds, syntax, and rhyme.

Students will need a computer, tablet, or smartphone, and an internet connection. Students will need a printer (optional, to print drawing exercises).  Materials and Supplies needed for this course are listed in the Course Summary, and also in Lecture 3. Bring it: A desire to create some delightful works of art!

The teaching process used for the drawing portion of the project is a kid-tested, step-by-step method that will both inspire and delight your child into drawing action! This process involves organizing shapes and lines together until a recognizable outcome is achieved.

This is a beginning drawing and watercolor painting course designed for ages 6-10. No drawing or painting experience necessary.
